Eid-Al-Adha marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage, a key pillar of Islam and a spiritual time.
The message that underpins Eid-Al-Adha is one of sacrifice, a theme most relevant to all of us over the past two years.
Through this period of uncertainty and challenge, the kindness and generosity towards each other have remained a familiar and comforting constant.
I wish to applaud the sacrifices made by Capetonians and the opening of their hearts to others in need.
This example inspires us as we work towards building a City of Hope for all.
As we move forward to build prosperity and greater unity, on behalf of Capetonians we wish you a blessed Eid.
Eid Mubarak!
